I had a blast exploring the shared lounge and enjoying the free WiFi. The continental breakfast was so yummy! And the terrace and garden made for a lovely backdrop for my hiking adventures nearby.
Plumbing that transports me back to ancient times. Always a fun surprise!

I recently stayed at a charming historic house in the countryside, surrounded by beautiful gardens and vineyards. The family-owned property has been wonderfully preserved throughout the generations. From late Spring to late Autumn, the house is a perfect retreat, offering a rustic and authentic experience. The room I stayed in was immaculately clean, and the continental breakfasts were delightful. The owner was exceptionally kind and accommodating, making my stay even more enjoyable. Despite some minor drawbacks, such as slow WiFi and the need for exterior maintenance, these did not detract from the overall charm and serenity of the place. I highly recommend this hidden gem for a peaceful and memorable getaway. I would happily recommend staying at this historical house for its unique experience and tranquil surroundings.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at an exceptional house dating back 300 years, surviving the looting and burning of Napoleon's troops. It was the home of one of Portugal's leading poets, and visiting his rooms, filled with original papers, books, paintings. The stunning house and gardens, along with the helpfulness of the host and her son, made it a delightful place to stay. Despite being a little trek from the town center, it's definitely worth it.
I do recommend this hotel.

This historical house with its own chapel is set in beautiful grounds and vineyards. The owners are kind and hospitable, providing a daily continental breakfast. The peaceful atmosphere and serenity of the place make it ideal for relaxation. The location is surrounded by amazing scenery and excellent food options.
The wifi connection is extremely poor, making it difficult for guests who need to do work online.

The shared lounge was cozy, but I couldn't use the free WiFi as it was slower than a snail racing a turtle. The continental breakfast was alright, but nothing to write home about.
Oh, the thrill of hiking nearby and exploring the beautiful surroundings. only if I had enough energy after climbing the nonexistent internet mountain.

We got amazing value for our money at this beautiful historical house in Amarante. The room was comfortable and the location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area. The staff at Casa De Pascoaes treated us like family and made our stay unforgettable.
The breakfast selection could have been better with more variety of options.

Amazing service and a beautiful historic house. The staff gave us a personal tour, sharing the house's rich history and allowing us to experience the owner's family legacy. The artistic displays throughout the house were a delightful touch. The breakfast was simple yet perfect, and wandering around the picturesque grounds during sunset was truly inspiring.
The hotel breakfast menu could use a wider variety of options.

Fantastic cultural experience and hospitality. Loved the authenticity of the place, it's like stepping back in time. Set in extensive gardens with vineyards and old fruit tree groves, the views are breathtaking. Clean rooms and good Wi-Fi.
The Wi-Fi is extremely poor, making it impossible to get any work done. Not recommended for business travelers.
